The books that are currently on my listing have been there for quite a while.  Would like to delete those and put new ones in.  Just need to know how to delete those out??????   Help...

Go to your bookshelf.  There are two views of the bookshelf, the public view and the back stage area.  You want the back stage view.  There will be a small check box on the side of the book details.  Click it.  Then go to the top or bottom of the page and select an action.  This would be Hold or Delete.

To the OP - just to make sure that you do realise how the FIFO (first in , first out) system works here? The books you have listed on your bookshelf are working there way up the "available" list, and may be close to the top & getting requested.  Any new bopks you list will go th "the end of the line". While it is temptin sometimes to delete the books that seem to have been listed & sitting, sometimes it is counter productive.

Best way to move older books that have been sitting around a while is to offer a deal for 2 or more credits that will cover the cost of postage, so it's a win-win for sender and receiver.  You can do that in the Book Bazaar forum.  Good luck!

I had a lot of requests this past year for books that have been on my shelf for a long time. I was pleasantly surprised to have requests for a couple listed since 2008, and several from 2009 and 2010. They finally made their way up through the FIFO system. I'm glad I never deleted them from my bookshelf. It was a win win situation for me and the requestors.

It really depends on the book, and how many copies are listed.  You can see the total number listed by adding the book to your Reminder List.  It will not tell you where you are in the line, but it will give you an idea.

Plus anytime someone places an order and "adds more" to the order, your older books could be ordered even though they are 100, 200, or 300th in line.
