I know that coloring books are not allowed here but are How To Draw books okay to post? Theyre not colored in or anything; theyre just normal 'How To Draw' books. Are they okay to post and swap?

And, just out of curiosity, why arent coloring books (even ones that have never been used) not okay to swap here?

Thanks ya'll! ^_^

My thought is that instructional books are okay as long as they fit the postability conditions including no marking in it.  The coloring books issue is one that is because people might not see that there is coloring in them.  The ISBN's are taken in total and there are no exceptions for the database.  But if there could be exclusions, PBS would exclude the coloring books.  And usually the coloring books are poor quality and cost less than regular books.  There are definitely high quality coloring books - I have some myself  - but I can't post them because of the rule.

I agree, as long as there isn't any actual drawing in the book, they should be fine to post, much the same as any other "how to" book (like "how to sew" or "how to make baskets."

Coloring books are generally not really books, if anything they're more like magazines, and I think because there is so much potential for misunderstanding with them is why PBS excludes them.

My understanding is that the Post Office doesn't allow coloring books to be sent media mail.  How to Draw books are fine.
