I was in the #1 spot for a book on my wishlist for about 3 weeks and just discovered that now I am #2. How could this have happened? I have never been offered the book. Can anyone out there help with this?

Meg,

Someone else may have had this book on their WL first but had their account on Vacation Hold. When they took their account off Hold, they were put back in the #1 spot. Or they may have been sent a copy of this book that they marked Received with A Problem, and were put back at the #1 spot.

This can  happen.  Someone who was ahead of you but had their shelf on hold may have taken it off hold.  Or someone who received the book and marked it RWAP is automatically put back on the WL in the #1 position.

Another reason this can happen is that a person in front of you in line had her copy of the book go lost in the mail, so she's now back in the #1 spot.  (This just happened to me;  the book  is probably on its way, but it has taken longer than the 26 days that the PBS system allows).
