I have some books on my reminder list and I am wondering if I can find out who has these books, I want to see if they have others of similar type. I have been searching the Book Bazaar, but to find someone who has specific books I am not sure how to do, other than post the books I am hoping I can find. And search the bookshelves of each member who mentions having children's books. I have found them in searching them in the Browse but doesn't tell me who the member is, just that someone has the book(s). I have some of the books on my reminder list, but I am hoping I can find those members to see if they have others and I can make a deal. Is it possible to find out who the member is, or do I just ask in the Book Bazaar? (which I did post, but am wondering still if I can find in another way). Janette |

You can search the shelves of boxers. It does help if you are searching for one author or one series. You do not have to be a boxer to search there. Or to find them, then order from their bookshelf, under their nickname in the member's directory. I also recommend the genre forums. The threads do not move as fast as the BB. And are more likely to get someone active in that genre. I have fond the genre threads of deals offered to be very helpful. Last Edited on: 3/28/10 3:54 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

You can order a book then before you confirm the order hit the Order More From Member button. that should say whose shelf you are on and write it down. Requests are held in a 1hr buyers remorse hold and so they woulnd't even see it if you never hit the confirm order button. I've done this before when ordering more than 1 book in a series and trying to save someone postage money. I try 1 book first and then another and complete the order of the one who has more than one of what I'm looking for and save that member postage. Of course this only works if those people have set up a profile so you can search them in the directory. |

Mary great answer, I wondered this same thing. Though do you get flagged if you cancel to many? |

That's what the one-hour buyers remorse period is for! I don't believe those kinds of cancellations even show up in Transaction Archives... |

I don't believe those kinds of cancellations even show up in Transaction Archives... They don't. I've done it a lot. |

Actually, if you do confirm your order and then cancel within the one hour "Buyer's Remorse" period they will show up in your Transaction Archive. At least they do in mine. I have a couple that are from people ordering from me show up in there even though their order never got to my bookshelf. I also had to cancel once when I ordered the wrong book. I did it within the one hour period, but it still shows up in my transaction archive as a cancelled transaction. On the other hand, if you don't confirm the order, it won't show up in either your or the other member's transaction archive. |

Oops, thanks for clarifying Laura - that's what I meant, if you hit 'order more from member' to browse their shelf but never confirm the order. Usually I 'x' out the original book I ordered, too, just to be on the safe side. |
