I have been looking at Amazon for new releases in order to find new books to place on my wish list.  How do you find yours?  It seems as though I am always in for a long wait to receive books.  Any suggestions?

I put author's books that I really like to read on my wish list. I have a ton of them - Mystery, Suspense, Romantic Suspense, Paranormal, Paranormal Romance, Romance, etc. are some genre's you can look at. Who do you like to read? Maybe we can give you some ideas of new authors to try - sometimes I'll put them on there too! Kathleen

Every few weeks I recheck my wishlist by author vs. by title. A couple of times I have found the wishlisted book in the system just listed under a different isbn or with a slight variation on the title (or typo).

Janet,

Are you asking how we discover new books and authors to read?  I get the Club Wish List each day with the genres marked that I'm interested in.  Gives me lots of ideas.  I also check the threads in Hidden Gems...there are a couple now such as "It's Feb. What are you reading?;  "What books do you read more than once?";  and other threads as well.  Always new ideas and authors to be discovered.

I have a bunch of authors that I do like but I find it hard to discover all the books that have just been released or will be released soon in order to get in early on the wish waiting list.  I tried to go on the actual author's website and that has helped a little but it takes forever to go through each author.  Amazon also helps but they also have books on the new release area that have been out for awhile already (which doesn't help).  Hopefully, taking your suggestions above will help me get in on the start of the wish waiting list instead of bringing up the end.

Thanks for all the help, now I have some work to do!

Janet

I check the WLs of my buddies in addition to searching AZN. I also search eBay for ideas. I like historical fiction, so I'll search the phrase, historical fiction. When I get too many results, I add 2007 or 2008.
