I had a book on my wish list that came up. Before I accepted it, the person sent me a PM stating the book had water damage. I declined the book and told them water damaged books were not acceptable at PBS. They said they didn't realize that and would take it off their shelf. I want to put the book back on my wish list as it was taken off when I declined the book offered. Unfortunately, it is still on her bookshelf, and it is the only copy in the system, so I don't want it to be offered to me again. This was yesterday, so it's been 24 hours. Should I give her more time or is there some other step I should take so that I can list it on my WL again without her copy popping up? |

Jen-- For future reference, the party with the damaged book should be the one to decline the transaction, particularly with wishlists, where there are issues with your place in line, etc. If you are the only one in line, re-add it to your wish list. When the request comes through to her, PM her to remind her that water damaged books are not permitted here and ask her to cancel the transaction so you won't lose your place in line. If she won't comply, or you've been bumped to a lower spot on the WL, use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of any PBS page to contact the site owners, let them know what is happening and ask them to put you back at the top of the WL. Cheers, Catt |

I second the post above. It is the poster's responsibility to take it off their shelf until you get your book. It will keep coming to you otherwise. Good luck! |

She won't be able to add the book to her WL as long as there's a copy of it in the system. I would PM the person, tell them they need to remove the book so you can add it to your WL again. Give them a deadline and say you'll contact PBS about the problem by that date. Next time have them cancel. They might not realize it's still on their shelf thinking that if you declined then it was deleted. Or they might be hoping someone else will order the book and they'll get away with sending out a damaged book. |

Thanks guys! I didn't realize I should have had her decline it. Lesson learned. I will add it again, and if her book pops up send her a reminder. |
