Hi there, When I receive a notice that someone has requested one of my books, I get that notice that says "You have 48 hours to accept..." etc. I have three wish list offers (that *I* requested) sitting on my account page. One of them I requested on 3/19. It's now 3/23. How come the offer is still there? The person has not clicked accept or anything of the sort... how come I have 48 hours and the others have more? Maybe it's something I'm missing? What's sad is, the last 3 WL offers I got are ALL sitting waiting for the folks to accept them. Hey, you posted them, accept them!!! |

When you get a WL offer you get the 48 hour to accept message. When someone orders your books, you get a message that will say 5 days and X hours to accept. They have 5 days to accept, the X hours is rounding up to when the site action takes place in the middle of the night. |

OK, I'm getting it slightly, but I can swear that when someone requests a book from me, I see the same message, "You have 48 hours to accept mailing this book..." right? You first have to accept it within 48 hours, then you have the 5 days and X hours to mail it out, I thought. |

No when you are the sender you get 5 days to accept and then up to 7 days after that to mail if you choose Will Mail Later and then choose the last possible date-it'll give you 2 days after that to mark as mailed. When you are offered a WL book it gives you 48hrs to accept before it cancels it and passes it on to the next person in line. |

No, the Wishlist offer is given to you when a book on your WL comes up and you're the first in line. You then have 48 hours to accept it since you didn't have it on auto-request or you don't have the credit. When you get an order off your bookshelf (as the person you got the WL offer from did) then you have 5 days+ to accept and mail (or accept and choose a date to mail). The 48 hours is for the wisher and the 5days+ is for the person who has the book. That's the difference. Ruth |
