I'm new here. I posted my books, got 3 requests for them, so I promptly mailed them out today. I have 2 requests in, and no reply yet. How long is it customary to wait for the person to reply to your request? Can I cancel my request and try another member who has the same book? If I post a book on someone's "Wish List" do they automatically get notified that I have it? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Do not cancel the request unless you don't want the book-it will continue to go to the "nonresponsive person" until it times out. The "system" is set up to give everyone an equal amount of time to respond to requests. IF the request times out, it will go the next person on the FIFO list.

Yes, when you post to the wish list, the person will be notified that the book is available. I would suggest visiting the help center for more detailed info on these and other topics.

People get 5 days (and a few hours) to respond to a book request and 48hrs to respond to a WL offer. When a request times out then the book gets removed from their shelf. It also sends a red flag to PBS who will put the account on hold if they think the account is inactive.
