I'm currently reading this.  I'm enjoying it and yet it seems like I've seen a movie based on the book.  I'm at the black and white ball and it's so vivid in my mind it seems like I saw this rather than just read it.  Yet there are other parts, that aren't familiar, that's why I wonder if it was a movie that "edited" the book.

That's was Kerrelyn Sparks, right?  I don't think there was a movie.  I just pre-ordered her soon to be out book 'Secret Life of a Vampire.'  I don't know what it is about her books, but I've loved everyone. 

Sorry, yes it was Kerelyn Sparks.  It was a very good story.  I was reading in bed and fighting to keep my eyes open to find what was going to happen next.  I have the rest of the series that's out so far.  I'll have to WL Secret Life of a Vampire! 

Strangest thing to have parts of the book seem like they were part of a movie.  I could "see" the disaster in the cafeteria and couldn't see the duel.  That doesn't give anything away folks.

ooh gotta see when the new one is coming out! I got the first 4 from someone here then ordered the Christmas one then realized there's a short story in an anthology..I love this series!

eta: ok, I looked up the newest book..but I can't remember who Jack is?! was he in the other stories? I don't recognize either one of that couple..the next book is listed too but at least I recognize those names!

Jack is the Giacomo  guy  He's the son of casa nova...i believe to italian master who is in the last book helping fight the bad guys. he's not refered to as jack in any of these though but as Giacomo .
