How They Got There: Mastering the Winning Strategies of Successful People
How They Got There Mastering the Winning Strategies of Successful People Author:Dr. Francis I. Dumbuya, Ph.D. What I have done in the book How They Got There Mastering the Winning Strategies of Successful People is to examine the success strategies of high achievers. And my conclusion, based from research, is similar to that of Earl Nightingale, a well-known motivational speaker; and that is, successful people are not people without problems; they a... more »re simply people who have learned how to solve their problems. The major difference between those who succeed versus those who fail in life is that successful individuals do not make excuses for their shortcomings; rather, they find solutions to whatever the challenges are and move toward solving them. It is also my contention that whether written by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, or Brian Tracy, or by the myriad of other motivational speakers, the majority of the books on motivation are geared toward one thing to help bring out your passion about a specific goal, and to inspire you to act upon its achievement. In that regard, I am no different from these individuals, and the book, How They Got There is intended to do just that to cause you to act upon the achievement of your goals. However, in spite of the common thread that transcends motivational speakers, there is one distinguishing factor that separates the good from the great. That factor lies in the stories embedded in the principles that speakers attempt to teach. In How They Got There, I have tried to motivate you by simplifying the science of personal achievement through storytelling. As one reader surmises, this book is full of quotes, family sayings and anecdotes, and stories of personal experiences that grab your attention from the outset, and get you on the path toward realization of your dreams. In closing, I ask you to browse through the site, read and print copies of the articles I have written and will continue to write. In the meantime, I want to wish you much success in whatever you re doing, and hope that How They Got There will make the journey toward the accomplishment of your goals much easier. I look forward to your feedback.« less
