I see most people have the amount of $ they have saved next to their name. I don't have that. But I am also new and have sent out 17 books and only received 1. Is this why? I have spent more money then I have received in books so far. I didn't know if it will show up eventually or if it is private and no one can see it. Thanks for any help. |

I'd think one received transaction would still show up as savings, but I could be wrong. It might also just take awhile before the savings increase, but I'll have to wait to see what happens when my next book arrives before I could know for certain. I can tell you that the amount displayed on you main account page will increase in increments of $2.09 with each book you receive, which is the average cost of a used book, less the average shipping cost spent acquiring the credit by mailing a book. The amount displayed on your profile page will be different, as it still goes by the old system of tabulating just the average cost of a used book, which the site deems to be $4.50. Just a guess, but I think you need to fill out the survey when you mark a book received. You know the postage and post mark stuff. I stopped doing that months ago and my "money saved" total has stayed the same. -RD |

And remember, the "money saved" doesn't include costs of printer ink and wrapping materials........................ My print cartridges cost so much it kills me to print the address sheets here in color. |

My savings number don't match. In the PBS home page it shows as $319.77 and in my profile, it says $688.50. I've been meaning to contact the Team about it but I've been busy. |

Jeanne- When you print something, on your print set up, do you have an option to print only in black and white and in Draft mode? Most printers have those options available. You might try googling your exact printer model and how to print in B&W Draft mode. In Draft mode your printer used substantially less ink and with B&W chosen, you can save even more. I keep my printer in B&W Draft mode most of the time and it really helps save on ink. |

My old HP printer was going thru LOTS of ink and then started freezing up with a lot of "error" messages, so late this winter I gave up on using it all. Now I hand write the addresses neatly on recycled paper I get from all the junk mail that comes to the house; most of the that has plain white paper on the back which is perfect for addressing books.
Saves me money I can now use on postage.
