I was just at the used bookstore today and saw several WL books.  Ones I already own so I didn't buy them anyway.  There were a couple of Lora Leigh's, a Sarah McCarty,  3 Kresley Cole's, and 3 Emily Giffen's.  The trade paperbacks were either 3 or 4 dollars and the Kresley Cole's were 2 dollars.  I didn't end up buying any, but it got me to thinking.  How much do you guys spend on WL books you buy purely to post on here?  With shipping it would still cost me less than a MMPB, no matter which size I bought.  I guess I trying to decide if it's worth it.  Thoughts, anyone?

If I'm buying a book to post only, I  try not to spend more than $2 generally.  The erotic romance books are more costly and for those, I will spend up to $5 since I typically use them for elephant games.  $3-$4 for a TB at a UBS is very inexpensive.  Mine usually charges 1/2 of the book's listed price, although I occasionally get lucky and find them for a couple of bucks in the clearance bin.

I pick some up here and t here if I'm pretty sure people on here would want them..then I'd post them in the wl thread and hope they can go out in twosies at least. I did buy one mmp at half the price but turns out it was no longer wl'd but I offer it every so often jus tin case 'cause they go pretty high on half.com with the shipping and all..heck mght end up  posting it t here.

I honestly don't think I could pass up certain erotic romance authors even if I already have them! esp if they're under 3 or 4 bucks...sigh. guess that's why I have too many books!

but in general Idon't pay more than a dollar forsomething to post.

I shop at the library sales.  Win win as the money goes to get library books.  Won't spend over $1 unless I want to read it.

books specifically for posting, i won't spend more than $1.  otherwise by the time you add the postage it'd probably be cheaper just to buy credits.

but i admit, today i bought a random erotica novel (ooh, firemen) from the $3.99 boxes at Borders, because i figure i can use it in a game, and i'll read it before i send it out.

I don't usually spend more than $1 if I'm buying a book just to post.  I'm not short on credits and it's just too expensive to make a habit of doing that.  Now a couple of times I have found WL books that I knew were heavily WL'd and paid maybe $2 just to post them.  But that's only happened a couple of times.

Sometimes if I'm in a game and come across a book I can use for that, that I don't plan to read first then I might spend more.

$1 is usually my cut off too for WL books I've already read.

Yep, purely to post, I wouldn't spend over $1 because once you pay to ship it out you're still at less than the cost of a credit.  If I'm going to read the book first, I'll pay a couple of dollars more.

I run my WL thru Half.com once a month or so and buy any books that are $2 or less.  With the shipping, that's a little over $5 which isn't bad for a WL book.  After I read it, I decide if it's a keeper or not.

We don't have a used bookstore here, just Goodwill and a twice used shop.  Not many used books around, so I get most of mine online.
