I noticed on some users pages (when I view their booklist) that there is a special note there. In which part of my profile can I do that, too?

My Account -> My Bookshelf . Near the top is a button 'Edit My Public Header.'

That's how to do it. You'd think it'd be under Settings somewhere, wouldn't you?
