Hi,

I'm a new author and just finished my first novel.  I know that it's definitely a chick-lit piece.  How would you best suggest finding an agent?  Do you have any recommendations of agents who like girl spy books?

Thanks for your help!

have you read these books?

Will Write for Shoes: How to Write a Chick Lit Novel by Cathy Yardley

See Jane Write by Sarah Mlynowski and Farrin Jacobs

They give lots of good tips of how to write a novel and get it published. they talk about the different publishers, writing query letters, getting an agent, that sort of stuff. really good info, and written in a fun interesting way

Thanks, Deborah!  I have a copy of Will Write for Shoes.  I've started contacting the agents in that book, but since they're listed in the book, won't they be inundated with submissions and not have time for a new author?
