I've purchased some books on the Kobo site and plan to buy more. I've already finished reading a few of them and want them off my Literati. (If I ever want to reread them, I can download them from my Kobo library, right?) Anyway, how do I delete them from my Literati reader? I don't see instructions for this in the manual, and it's difficult to get through to a live person on the weekdays. Oh, and also I noticed whenever I open the kobo desktop app and then connect my Literati, it automatically does an update -- i.e., moves any new book I purchased to my Literati. Is there a way to turn this off so it doesn't do an automatic update? I'd like to be able to manually move any new purchase (or not) to the Literati myself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I don't have a Literati, so can only tell you what I've found on the ones I've 'played' with. Mine is a Libre, and to delete a book, I have to be in the title menu with that particular book selected; then I click the 'settings' and there is an option there to delete the book. With mine, when I click the delete option, it has an 'are you sure' sort of last chance - click that and the book is gone. |

You cant Delete the Pre Loaded eBooks. You might not see them but the file is still there taking up space. But you can Delete any you add. Settings--click on book you want to remove----then go down to bottom of the Menu List Delete this Book just click! No I dont know How to keep books on the computer from going on the Reader. Wish I did as I Dont want 6 books I got for my son---but I seem stuck with them GRRRLast Edited on: 4/18/11 1:41 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

If you go to the Kobo site on your PC and go to your Library section you can click to delete any books you have purchased. When you turn your Literati it will usually sync your library. A few times I've had to manually sync my Literati but they usually show as removed from the reader. I've never found a way to remove the pre-loaded books. Maybe someone else knows how to do this. Hope this works for you. |
