I have over 3500 SFF books in my personal collection.  I've wasted too much time looking at bookshelves with 30 romance books listed.  So:  tell me how many SFF books you have listed and I will look at your shelf.

47 (out of 58) are SF or F

Though I would expect with a collection of 3500+, you've probably read them all.

Off the top of my head I'd say I have 48 (of 50) SF&F on my bookshelf.

Scratch that.  I just looked and I have a bit more non-SF&F out there than I remembered.  It's more like 42 of 50.

on my shelf at the moment, i have 21 sf&f books.  but that's out of 74 total, so if you look, i highly recommend using the filter by genre to ignore all the mystery and romance.

my personal collection of sf&f i don't think is as large as yours (i haven't counted), but it does take up 30 3-foot shelves in my library room.  i did have to do a bit of a purge a while ago to make room for new books, but most of those books are no longer on my PBS bookshelf.

Two-thirds of my shelf is SF&F .

On the down-side, I only have 6 total books posted at the moment.  :)

I guess I ought to dig though my books and post some more....

I only have 26 out of over 200.  I love sf and fantasy, though, so I was surprised by the small number.  I do have several shelves on my keeper shelving-units devoted to those genres.

I have a bookshelf of 223 but only 72 are what I would consider science fiction or fantasy. I have more mysteries and others than I thought. Actually, I am probably holding on to more of my science fiction/fantasy and getting rid of other kinds of books.

Wow, you've got quite a collection! My bookshelf is mostly SciFi/Fantasy - out of 107 books on my shelf (as of right now), I'd say I have approximately 75 SciFi/Fantasy books.  Also have 3 unpostables in that genre (see my signature).

I go through the same problem as you with looking through the bookshelves. Even on the people that I order from or order from me. There are about 20 posted SFF books on my bookshelf at the moment.

I swap SFF books at half a dozen stores within a 60 mile radius.  I always get caught up in conversations with the owners because I take in as many as 200 books at a time.  We have decided that the large majority of SFF readers do not let go of their books.  That probably explains why I have over 3500.  About half of my collection is older stuff.  With my swap credits from the bookstores I am mostly getting newer authors now.

... which would be 608 of 1267 are Sci Fi & Fantasy and filtering to SFF only would be 204. I don't trust the filters on that though, it all matters how the book was put in.

Out of 50+ posted, only 10 or 12 are SF/F, which is weird because that's mostly what I read.  Then I realized:  I keep most of my SF&F books.  I am sorting through a few old boxes of books right now and re-reading so I can decide what stays and what gets posted.  Should have some more posted soon.

Odd, I thought I'd answered this post already.

I have about 30 books sci-fi/fantasy out of about 80 total.

(Updated due to large order)
