Usually quotes around the phrase work, but I guess not here. Does anyone know if there is a way to search for an exact phrase? thanks! ETA: I'm trying to search for books, not posts Last Edited on: 6/15/08 11:09 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

There is no way to search for an exact phrase in book descriptions. You will probably have better luck if you use the Advanced Search screen and search only the specific field that will have your phrase though. If you put it in the keywords box at the top of the screen, then it searches the title, author and description. You can limit the search to one of these fields if you use the Advanced Search. |

I wish the quotes around the title worked. Kinda frustrating when you are searching for a title that is a common word and the book you want isn't even listed on the first page of results. I have taken to typing in the title, plus last/first name of the author, if known. |
