I'm a new member, and I recently posted a book under the textbook exception.  I saw this in the help docs:

"If you Post a textbook or workbook or travel guide with highlighting/writing inside, or a cookbook with writing or staining, you MUST communicate with the requestor by PM describing the book's condition, and you must receive a reply PM accepting the condition of the book as described, before sending the book."

The book has been requested, but I don't see anywhere where I can PM the requestor or see who the requestor is to send that person a PM.  I only see these options:
  • I cannot mail this book
  • I can mail within 2 days
  • I can mail later
How can I PM the requestor if I don't know who that person is?

Thanks!

You have to accept the book first for the PM button to appear. I'd select the latest mailing date allowed in order to give ample time for the other member to respond.

Welcome to PBS Bryan, very good of you to have actually read the rules and already using the Textbook Exception!  When you pm, it can be helpful to include a 'respond by' date, and give the requester several days to reply (not all members check in daily).  Something along the lines of, "I anticipate mailing on Monday, so receiving your reply by Sunday evening would be appreciated..."

Also, if your book does not meet the needs of this requester and  the book is wishlisted, you can politely request the requester add an RC (anything will do) that you can decline so the book will be offered to wishers behind this member.
