say I am looking for a certain type of book. I find one and figure the person who posted it probably has similar books I might want. but the search does not tell me whose bookshelf it's on so I am not able to see what else they have that I might also want until I send a request, correct? I'd like to find someone who has a bunch of books in a certain series and PM them to ask if they will do a deal. is there a way to do that? I do have an inquiry in the Book Bazaar. thanks for your help.

If you are ordering a book FIFO, you won't be able to see who has the book until you order it. Then you will have the option of ordering more books from the person's bookshelf.

If you are looking for certain genres, you could always check the forums.

Since you aren't looking for WL books then why not put something in your signature line about wanting certain titles (and naming them) like more than one from one sender?  Only the people who are involved with the forums will see it, but that's more than none.  You could also put it in your profile and in your blue bookshelf header.  Also go post in the genres' forums.  Otherwise, there's no way.  Good luck.

Also you don't have to be a boxer to search the boxer shelves-so you could try that.  Sometimes when I'm looking for more than 1 book of a series-I open 2 windows and start to Order a dif book on each one-then hit the Order More button to see if one of htem has more than 1.  I don't ask for deals though since I usually only order if there aren't many copies in the system-I have a huge TBR and generally my library has anything that's heavily posted.
