I read this book after I had been practicing Buddhism for awhile, so to me it was kind of a review. However, as an introduction to the one of the foundation principles of Buddhism, the Four Noble Truths, Geshe Kelsang gives an excellent teaching. Keep in mind that because Gesh-La's tradition is Tibetan Buddhism, his explanation of the Four Noble Truths would tend to be more complicated than say, a Zen Buddhist. However, if you are truly interested in the Tibetan Buddhist perspective (keep in mind there are at least three Tibetan traditions) this book would be a good place to start.
