I agree with Pamela's review it is a wonderful book. I had my youngest son read it when he and his woof started packing up. My lab and I have a better time communicating with one another. I picked up a copy recently and think it's great for kids of all ages. I've started using it with my extended pack (grandchildren) so they can better understand the furriest member. I always try not to forget the parting symbol everyday when I leave the pack (and head off to work). I highly recommend this for you and your best friend.

A terrific little book, intended for kids in grades 1-4, but equally informative and charming for adults. I just read it again, aloud, to my husband and we both stopped to compare notes on various dogs we've owned. The author is well-informed and writes entertainingly, but takes her topic seriously.

This book is perfect for younger readers who love dogs- all about basic dog training and behavior.

Really good summation of dealing with dogs, probably at about a 4th grade level, I'll try reading it to my first graders. Jean Craighead George looks a lot like Barbara Bush.
