I have a number of books to post and would like to post those that are on someone's wish list if possible.  Thanks for any info you can provide.

Do a search by title or ISBN and see if there is a Wish List.

Also,  if you got it through PBS, if you go to your bookshelf and select "books on hold" you will see a Red or Green W next to those on wishlists.

If you want to know ahead of time so you can limit the number of books you have to mail or whatever, you can search by the ISBN number.  This will bring up the book information including if it is posted in the system (therefore not on anyone's wishlist) or the number of people wishing for it.

If you don't want to know ahead of time, just post them and you will be notified.  Also, books on your TBR list have a big W next to them if they are wishlisted.

When you post new books into the system, the wish listed books will automatically be funneled onto wish lists without going into the main pool.  If you wish to know what books might be wish listed so you can post them directly to buddies, the answer isn't as easy.  Others may know a short cut, but it may require looking up each book before posting and checking the information page (WL books will be noted as to how many members are wishing).

If you wish to check specific buddys to see if they are wishing for your book, go to your buddy list, there will be a button that allows you access to their wish list & you have to hunt.  Otherwise I think there are threads in some of the forums where you can post the name of your book.

I always just add them to my TBR or BIR lists. (the BIR list requires you to rate the book so there is an extra step there) There will be a big W next to the listing of WLed books. You can post the book from either of those lists.

Another way to do it is to post it, then click your "My Account" page. I do it this way. When you have a book that hits a wish list, it will immediately create a new tab on that page to the right of the tabs for "Must mail out" and "Being sent to me" tabs called "Wishlisted" or something like that. As soon as you enter a book, it will go there. I love seeing that tab pop up!

I've been here a while. It's funny....I can go to a yardsale, library sale, etc and pretty much identify the books that will be WLed.  You'll develop that talent if you stick around a while!

I do a search of the Club Wish List.  Then you can see if someone is gonna grab your book or it's gonna languish on the shelf for a while.  LOL
