Someone responded in a thread last week that you can tell if a book was requested via auto-request.  I looked at the book details, but didn't see anything that indicated that.  Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.  Can anyone help?  Thanks!

Don't know of any specific way, but do know that if a book is on auto request, at least for me, it usually shows up requested before I've even gotten out of the area where I posted the book, so I'd say that if the book shows up requested immediately after posting, it was on auto request. Pat

I had that same question and this is what Sara said

You can tell if it was auto-accepted by checking the Details icon on your Transaction. It will tell you when the book was offered and accepted.

Ah, that's where I read it, Lisa.  I knew I had seen it somewhere.  I guess I thought that meant it would tell if it was auto-requested.  Thanks.

This is all I see when I click the details icon.  I'm the sender... The book had been on my bookshelf for a while before it was requested.  Two days away from going lost and it hasn't been marked received, even though USPS says it was delivered weeks ago.  I thought I might be able to tell if the requestor was even aware that it had been mailed.

Autorequest should only apply if a WL book is posted. A member posting a WL book would trigger the autorequest if the person is first in line. If a book was on your shelf for a while then the member would have had to actually order it, either directly from your shelf or if it came up FIFO and your copy was next up. If a person had their WL on hold for a long time and it came off hold then some of the books may changed from WL to orderable. That might trigger an order, but it would come up as a WL offer and they would still need to affirm they wanted it before it would go through.

I didn't look at it when I posted it... Thought it might be a case where it was on somebody's wishlist but they didn't have a credit (you know, when you get the pink W).  At any rate, it was marked received last night (of course).
