So if you are on a wishlist for a hardback book, and there are paperbacks being listed into the system you get an email saying a simliar to wish book is available. I want to wait for the hardback. Is there a way to turn this off? I am getting alot of emails each day( 54 today!) and I'm 45th in the wl, so I could be getting these for a long time.

There certainly is! Go to My Account and choose Settings. 5th box down is Email Settings. You can check off what kind of emails you do NOT want to receive.
