My Library sent this in todays Monthly News Letter! Thought I pass it on:
Kindle recently launched its contribution to the tablet market with its new product, the Kindle Fire. Like the other Kindle family members, it works as seamlessly with the library’s Maryland Digital eLibrary database. You see, the Kindle Fire is not made to be connected via USB to any computer – it doesn’t even come with a USB plug; all content transfer is completed through a wifi connection. So, the process for downloading OverDrive titles to the Fire is exactly the same as one would follow to download them to any other Kindle model.
So long as the Fire is connected to wifi, it’ll sync up within a matter of minutes. If it’s not connected to wifi, it’ll sync up the next time a connection is detected.
