Marcia, yes, your RC will remain in your settings just as you wrote it, it just won't be turned on. You can turn it on/off as you like and it will always be there unless you choose to delete or edit it. Just make sure that you turn it off or on, depending on what you want for each transaction, before you accept book offers- once you accept the offer, you can't change whether the RC is on that request or not. |

Personally I would rather have my book requests turned down than to receive a book I will never be able to read because of the smell. I ditto that sentiment! I have an RC that as been written and rewritten (with some help from others) and haven't had a book request turned down just because of the RC. I'm happy with used books and I'm not looking for "like new condition". But please decline this request if the book doesn't meet PBS's conditions. Florida has violent weather and I believe my mailman hates me (that last part might be a slight exaggeration). But, he has left book shaped packages sitting on my front porch in the middle of a downpour. I beg of you - please wrap the book in plastic and use something stronger than magic / scotch / invisible tape. Don't feel bad about sending books in used envelopes held together by too much tape! Mummified books don't bother me. :o) If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM. Thank ya kindly for your consideration and enjoy your day. ~ JonnieAngel I usually send out new audiobooks and hardback books (which aren't cheap). I would be disappointed if I were to mail out expensive books and then received nonpostables in return. So if the sender declines the request because of the RC, it's alright. I'm willing to wait if it means I'll be able to enjoy the book once I receive it. |
