I was offered a wl book that according to Amazon is supposed to include a cd.  I pm'd the poster asking if she had it and she responded that she didn't.    How does the following reply sound-  (I don't want to come of as "snarky".)

Thanks for getting back to me.  Since the description of the book on Amazon states a cd is included, I would like to have it, so I will cancel.

FYI-
Book Condition Criteria for 'Swappability' at PBS
*if the book originally included supplementary Media materials, the supplementary materials must accompany the book for the book to be postable.

The next person who requests it may RWAP if it's not included.

Does the PBS listing show that the CD is included? I have seen some books that are released both with accompanying media and without. If the PBS listing does say it comes with a CD, I would make the poster cancel the transaction since they shouldn't be posting it anyway and you will lose your place in the WL line if you cancel.

If the PBS listing doesn't show a CD is to be included, I would recommend putting an RC on the request so that the sender knows up from you have requirements not shown in the PBS listing.

The pbs listing has NO info at all.

I am not in a rush for the book and it shows only 1 wisher (which may be me as I haven't accepted or canceled yet)

Since the PBS listing doesn't specify that the CD is there, I think the tone of the message comes off a little negative. The person who posted the book had no reason to know about the CD.

I like Melanie's idea of writing a Requestor Condition (do that in My Account --> Settings), turning your RCs on, and then requesting the book.  The sender is not expected to look up info on Amazon, so your RC will slip you by anyone who doesn't have the CD, and nobody has to cancel the transaction.
