I have no idea who it was, but I think someone on this forum mentioned The Hunger Games and recommended it.  I have been burned by young adult books before, but I took a chance and bought this book anyhow.

WOW!  I think it is the best YA book I have ever read.  I'm even going to order the sequel this week.

Thanks for the heads up about a great book!

I was so scared to read the sequel (Catching Fire) because I was certain that it couldn't be as good as the first book.  Boy was I wrong!  The only problem was at the end of the book I was all ready for the next one, which probably won't be out for a year.

I have Catching Fire on hold at the library and I can't wait for my turn.  I loved The Hunger Games.  When I read it, it had been a long time since I had read a book the drew me in so completely.

In the book order from Scholastic, they are selling Catching Fire for $11.  I am excited.

The sequel is very good.  I heard about The Hunger Games on National Public Radio and ordered it right away.  As soon as I finished I knew I had to read Catching Fire.  I have found quite a few YA authors that I really enjoy.

I put this on my library list to get the audio version--saw it recommended in a couple of different places and it sounds like it's right up my alley. I'm enjoying a lot of YA fantasy stuff very much! Can't wait to try it--I'm a way down the list but it's not like I don't have plenty of other stuff here to read.
