Hunger :: Has anyone gotten to read or even see a copy of this book yet? The reason I ask is because I think it sounds good, but it's only 180 pages long. I've never heard of "young adult" novels being THAT short, unless maybe it's a graphic novel? I'm hoping someone has gotten an ARC of it and can let me know what it's like. From her blog, I know book 2 will be called RAGE and comes out in 2011, typical for new series these days it seems. The author's blog is pretty cool, at least: http://jackiemorsekessler.com/blog/ |

I don't know anything about this book. (But I do want to say that long page counts are a relatively new thing that was sparked with the popularity of Harry Potter. There are lots of YAs that hover around 200-250 pages, such as the Alanna books by Tamora Pierce, books by Robert Cormier, Peter Dickinson...) |

I also haven't heard of this one yet either. But one of my favorite series, The Once Upon a Time series are all about 150 pages long. It doesn't happen a lot these days, but it does happen. |

Also, Hunger is being published by Flux, and I've found that most of their books are on the slim size, between 200-220 pages usually. |

I got the first Gossip Girl book today and realized it is under 200 pages, so now I'm not so worried. |
