while my copy of this book is a hard cover with color pics, the cover pic here does it no favors. That said, a very interesting read. Hynek was original hired by the government to be their debunker/throw cold water on these reports. What he found was cases that could not be explained by any natural element along with very high level muffling of the reports. Many reports were simply not documented. Project Blue Book was just a way to apease the public while the government looked into the more unnatural events and came to their conclusions. Simply put, they knew things did happen/were happening that were not within the scope of technology but feared a panic if they would ever come clean about them. Once again, the government determining that the public could not handle the truth, and there was nothing about these too real sightings that the military or any other unit of the government could do to protect us. Very interesting read!
