Extraordinary story. I love the drama and the descriptions of life at the bottom of the world. The only downside is that Dr. Nielsen herself comes off as kind of a jerk. You don't want her to die, of course. But still, she elicits less sympathy than if she were, well, not a jerk.

An astounding true story of a courageous woman living at the bottom of the world for a year, on the adventure of a lifetime and faced with diagnosing & battling her own breast cancer. This autobigraphical account moved and inspired me. Compelling and told with candor ~ I enjoyed it immensely.
