I went to the wish lists that other people are looking for, thought I had them but they had different ISBN numbers.  Now these are all almost brand new and seem to be exactly what they are looking for, Titles, covers, description, publish dates, and as far as I can see exactly what they want except for the ISBN number.  Some of these wish lists have 20+ people wishing for them but they have different ISBN numbers on the list.  As an example one person had a wish for a paperback but the ISBN was for an E-Book.  How do I let these people know that I probably have what they are wishing for but can't post it?

You can use the tags feature to say also posted under this ISBN.  Also, the system will send out emails to people with those books on their WL telling that a similar book has been listed.  Go ahead and post those books, they will probably get snapped up fairly quickly.

When you post your books if they want to know about alternate versions they will get emails letting them know. Some people don't want alternate versions though.

As an example one person had a wish for a paperback but the ISBN was for an E-Book.

This is likely just an old leftover wish and the people on the Wish List are probably also on the correct Wish List or already gotten the book through the correct one. When the books are first being published there is confusion and people get on the lists fast, they don't always get their WL cleaned up. If someone posted a book to that incorrect ISBN and sent it, the receiver could mark it Received with a problem because the ISBN is not the one they had Wish Listed, even if the WL ISBN is believe to be invalid.

Publishers will use the same ISBN on different versions of the book. Makes things confusing but they do.

I had an older book once that had 3 wishers, same cover, # of pages, year, everything, but mine didn't have an ISBN at all and the listed version did. I was tempted but figured I better not and listed it on it's own without an ISBN and it was taken within 2 days so it does work.

I'm not sure what you mean by the above part of your post. If you are saying that you'd like to post an e-book, that is not allowed here. We can only swap paperback, hardcover, audio CD and audio cassette books.

If you're saying that PBS has an error in a database listing and they are showing a book type as paperback when it's really an e-book, then please use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen to send in a feedback message letting them know which listing is in error. Only the PBS Team can change the book type on a listing.
