So... I was entering a book to my TBR pile... it is clearly a paperback book not hardcover... but when I enter the ISBN, the correct book comes up but says hardcover when it is not... what do I do with that? |

It sounds like the publisher used the same ISBN for both editions. Since your book doesn't match the listing, you'll need to post it using the 'Post a Book Without an ISBN' option. |

Do not post the book under that ISBN. Binding has to match and like Tiffany said publishers reuse ISBNs quite a bit. ISBNs are bought by the publisher and not tied to any specific book. So they frequently reuse them-usually for just different bindings of the same book but sometimes for completely different books. PBS will not change the ISBN in the system unless no one else has the book posted, it's not on any WL and you can prove that it never existed inthe binding they have listed. What I do when logging into my TBR is I add teh book using the ISBN and then use the Note feature to put "need to post without ISBN". So it's on my TBR but there's warning to me not to just post it from there. |

Thanks all... I went ahead and posted it to my TBR as was, and then made a note like suggested so I won't just post it over for sending... thanks a bunch!!! |

I don't know how many books you have or how long it takes you to read, but I also put a sticky note on the front of the book to remind me to repost it by ISBN, so I don't forget and don't overlook it when posting. Cheers, Catt |
