I used to be amazed when I typed in a ISBN and it popped  the book right up; but now I am amazed when I type in a ISBN and no book pops up. And this book has no back cover description. How long before the ISBN finds its' way into the system?  It is a   2010 book w/ paperbacks in the system. This is a hardback.

it is probably either a book club edition, or a hardback published in another country (the UK, Canada, etc). If it is not listed yet at Amazon (which uses the dsame database that PBS pulls from), your best bet would be to enter in all the information yourself. You can do that by Posting the book .... when the system does not find the ISBN AND the thing you have typed is a valid ISBN, you are given a form to enter all the info yourself. (Watch out for typos!)

Thanks Sara, I was stumped trying to post it without the ISBN just because it had no back cover info. I guess I have to get the ruler out. It is printed in the USA . Should I just use the inside flap info? -reads like a commercial for a movie of the week.

ISBN 13-9781616644468

If the paperback (here,  Amazon, or found by googling) has a description...copy that - it's easier than typing.

That is a book club edition, as Sara suggested -- it is Doubleday's
