I am in search of a bran muffin recipe that my grandmother used to bring me a large Tupperware bowl. i would bake as many as needed each morning or whenever I wanted bran muffins. The batter was a deep brown and a little lumpy. The batter had no fruit that I know of in them and were kind of sweet, maybe they had honey or brown sugar? Not sure, I don't know where she found the recipe but it was very good and seems like it was fairly well known (except by me). There were no hard pieces of anything in the muffins, so I know there were no nuts. Anyone know of such a recipe that was made up in bulk and refrigerated and used as need throughout the week, or month? Please ask your grandmothers or great grandmothers, or even mothers - someone must know of this recipe! Thank you all so much for your time and help! Here's another one - http://www.food.com/recipe/refrigerator-bran-muffins-183702 this one doesn't use raisins. And here is one from Cooks.com using cereal. http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,184,148160-246206,00.html This one is a heritage recipe, may be closer to what you remember - http://www.preparedpantry.com/howtomakehomemaderefrigeratorbranmuffins.aspx |
