My teenage daughter really likes iced coffee. I'm more of an ice tea person but love coffee, hot. Does anyone have a nice receipe for iced coffee? We'd like something we could make by the pitcher. Thanks all,:)

I just make a big pot of really strong coffee, and put it in the fridge.....but now I'm curious as to what a recipe might suggest!

If you add sugar, half and half and a few drops of good vanilla extract it will make the iced coffee taste great. You can subsitute sugar with artificial sweeteners and use skim milk, if you prefer. Chill in the refrigerator and serve over ice, its really good.

I use a bold coffee (like a Sumatra), make it about 1.5 times as strong as normal.  Then I just put it in a cocktail shaker with ice, sugar syrup, and half-and-half, shake it up, then pour it over more ice.

For a grown-up version, I add a shot of Kahlua, a shot of Bailey's, and a shot of white creme de cacao. :P
