I just picked up a used copy of this - can I read it without having read the others in the series?

I've read the first 2 and am wanting to read them in order Willa..I haven't gotten to Ice Storm yet since I want to read the 3rd one (have it somewhere or other!) but characters show up from one book to the next and the woman in Ice Storm so far has only been mentioned a little bit.

I think Shari's read all fo them so she'd know..she was posting in the 'what we've read this week' thread...I know someone was talking about them with me but I get confused since I have other books others are talking about LOL but it was towards the last page I think..

I've read Black Ice and not too impressed.  Don't generally like cold, detached heros.

Willa--I have read all four--Ice Storm features characters from books one and two and mentions the H/H from book three. I think you could read it without having read the others but it would be easier to keep track of all the characters if you read the books in order.

Someone wanted it, so I decided to go ahead and read it. It seems to stand alone okay. Good read, though not my usual type of book.

"Don't generally like cold, detached heros."

Then you must hate Anne Stuart.  ALL her heroes are cold and detached.

I tried to read one Anne Stuart book in this series - I think with Bastien and just didn't love it.  I haven't read the others but I'm sort of tempted to see if it would get better.

Susan, I LOVE Anne Stuart but honestly, her Ice books are her worst.  I liked Black Ice and Ice Storm but the two in between are pretty dreadful.
