The story has quite the sophisticated plot and great characters who are both charming and relentless. You'll even like the bad guys -- that is, if you can figure out who the bad guys are. If you're a fan of "The DaVinci Code," you will really enjoy this book. Feel free to email with any questions. ~LeAnn

From the back cover: "A sacred relic possessing inexplicable power, it vanished in the flames and chaos of war. Now six decades later..." This is a mystery novel with the flavor of historical fiction. A Greek Orthodox Icon is the center of the controversy. Scenes from the action of the Greek resistance during WW II are included to fill in the clues to the mystery. A little slow but well written.

a religious icon goes missing during WWII and now it has reemerged in the estate of a wealthy man...several people want it now...who's going to win..the Church, a musuem, or a private owner after it's supposed healing properties? good read...would recommend it

The characters in this were engaging but it was the icon itself that I found most interesting. As a reader, I wanted to believe in its mystical properties, but the author lets the hints dangle through most of the book, giving the reader the opportunity to believe or not. An interesting read.
