Last time I asked for book ideas for my daughter I got an excellent response and found some great new authors, so I am back again. :) I am looking for Christmas picture books for my daughter. I have several nativity story books so I am not really wanting any more of those. But I don't really want books that are heavily Santa themed. I am having trouble finding what I am looking for. It seems like most books are either nativity (which I have) or Santa and gift focused (which I'd like to avoid). I have a couple of Veggie Tale Christmas books that are fun and different. Anyone have any other ideas???? |

My favorite Christmas book is The Puppy Who Wanted a Boy by Jane Thayer. This is a bit of an oldie but one that never seems to really go out of style. Its the standard timeless story of a little pup who wants a home for Christmas. The Cat That Climbed the Christmas Tree by Whayne was pretty good (again, a bit older of a story). I'll think of some more I'm sure, but that's what I have off the top of my head. |
