I'm looking for Literature Circle book titles for 7th graders who are at or below their reading level. I'm trying to find titles that deal with Medieval European History, the Middle East, Africa, Japan, and China. If anyone knows any good books that fit in these areas please let me know. Thanks in advance.

There is a post in Book Bazaar from someone who has class sets of books.  She had a lot of Asian literature the last time I checked.  I ordered some Joy Kogawa books from here, they were in great condition.  You might check it out...I think I got 40 books for 10 credits.

Penquin Books would fit your classroom needs. They are set up for ESL students and work well for below level readers. The Ghost of Jenny Castle is a story about an ancient castle with rumors of ghosts.  You might research the books online and then come back to PBS and search for specific titles. Hope this helps!
