I was all excited to see an ARC available of Delicate Storm by Giles Blunt. I placed an order, asking for the ARC along with it, waited on pins and needles to see if I was "the winner"...I WAS! Huzzah!

I have the book in hardback already, #3 of my TBR stack. Sigh...Debbie

It's an excellent book - better I think if you read in order, but can be read as a stand alone.

Several months ago I spent several days reorganizing my books on my bookshelves and in boxes, alphabetically and with labels.  I also created a file folder with a sheet of paper for each one of the series that I am reading or seriously want to read, with notations of which books I own and which I have read.  DESPITE THIS, I have ordered two books in the last 3 months that I already had!!  I couldn't believe it, I give up!

Oh well, if I hadn't done the organizing it probably would have been way more than two.  By the way, I'm currently reading Forty Words for Sorrow and really like it so far.

I just bought a book at the thrift store today and realized I already had it.  Now I have 2: 1 in hardback and 1 in mmp.   At least I can post them both at the same time.

A couple of months ago I bought a bunch of cozies at a discount store.  I didn't go threw the bag for a few days and then discoved I had bought 2 of the same book at the same store at the same time.

LOL! I used to do stuff like that...but now I keep a book journal listing what I've already read and if I'm not sure, I will check before I buy. I also have a listing in a program called Book Bag on my Palm Pilot that lists all the books I have and have read so I can tote that with me out to bookstores and stuff. I haven't had a problem ordering doubles since then.

That said, I need badly to go through my bookshelves (which are double and triple stacked!) and make sure I've got everything listed...I got lax for awhile when we moved so I have a feeling some books haven't been entered. Argh!
