why are there so many books with 'no image available'? Is that just the nature of the beast or is it in the process of being corrected. It's somewhat off-putting when browsing someone's bookshelf and it's mostly 'no image available'

Good question.  Most of the images are probably somewhere.  On the other hand, a number of my posted books (which I entered by ISBN) show the image from a different edition, which I think confuses things even more.

II noticed the same thing. I've spent a couple hours this weekend scanning book covers from my bookshelf and my TBR mountain. It's easy to upload the pdf images. Every little bit helps.
