A terrific first novel featuring a new female sleuth, Ellie Foreman! I definitely hope to see more of her.
"Lately, Ellie Foreman has been doing more than her fair share of schmoozing. Chicago heiress and real estate developer Ricki Feldman is, for less-than-altruistic reasons, financing her next video project, a documentary on foster kids. So, after a full day of meeting and greeting, Ellie would like nothing more than a hot bath. But once at home, a mysterious video arrives, delivered anonymously. She watches the footage of a young woman's murder--and gets the gruesome feeling that this was no act. As a producer, she knows more about videos than the police--so even when the cops demand that she stay out of this, Ellie can't help but do a little investigating on her own. And she's horrified when her hunch proves correct-the reel murder was, in fact, real..."
