Search - Imitation in Death (In Death, Bk 17)

I didn't finish this book. I find I'm getting really tired of Roberts. She doesn't seem to have any new ideas, so she just makes her characters the richest, the most powerful, the most famous, the smartest, etc. I find it impossible to believe that one person is the richest man in the world, runs a huge multi-national company, knows all his employees personally, knows how to pick locks, can crack any safe or any computer system in no time at all, etc., etc., etc.--so that he knows how to do whatever it is his wife needs done AND he can drop everything to help her at any time--Roberts strangles my suspension of disbelief.

This is one of my favorite series. Everything about these books are great. They are set in the future, they have the richest man in the world, Eve Dallas a terrific dective and all the characters are so real you begin to think you actually know them.

It is 2059 in NYC and Lt. Eve Dallas of the NYPSD has another murder to solve with the help of her husband Roarke. This is a great series and each book gets better and better

Very good. J.D. Robb holds you to the end.

I must admit that this is my favorite series in years! All the characters are memorable and the main ones are all drawn clearly so that their voices are unique. If you haven't read the first 16, please do yourself a favor and start with the first book. You won't be disappointed.
