A collection of memories combined with the author's summary of those who immigrated to the U.S. in late 1800s and early 1900s complete with photographs. Very interesting for middle schoolers

This is a wonderful book of actual photographs from the late 1800's and early 1900's of children, many of whom had jobs working in factories, selling newspapers, and delivering goods. Also contains reminiscences from older people who remember this time when they were children. Fascinating stories and great for homeschoolers.
