I only posted this one because I have too many books that are "favorites." Hogan never disappoints and this one is filled with fantastical robot culture descriptions and great adventure Science-Fiction. I shoulda kept this one...8 1/2 out of 10 stars!

This book picks up where Hogan's first consideration of the Taloids, "Code of the Lifemaker" left off. Here we discover details of the original civilization that created the automated factories that spawned the Taloids. And when their stored consciousnesses are inadvertently resurrected, not only the Taloids and their civilization, but Earth itself is imperiled.
