A MARVELOUS read. Very long, so set aside some time to get this one read. It would have been nice to have 2 to 3 hours each day to read it, but I had to read a few chapters, set it down for a week or two the continue, reading only 3 to 5 chapters each time I sat down to read it.
Now, for the review. Have you ever wondered "what if" about any historic incident? Well, this book will "sort of" give you a look into what would happened if Abe Lincoln had survived the assassination at Ford Theater that fateful day in April 1865.
The author has taken several real life incidents and rearranged the dateline a bit to weave a tale of Lincoln's second term after he survived the assassination.
There were moments when I was so wrapped up in reading the book that I forgot where (and when) I was at.
Make time for this book, you won't regret it.
