Did you print the label from PBS? All of the label addresses are USPS verified so I don't know how the zip code could come up wrong. Can you enter it on usps.com and see what it says there?

If the end of the deadline approaches, I'd probably mark the book mailed and send it out within the 48 hours bad zip or not.

yes I printed it right off the pbs website.  No I have not checked the post office web site I watched him enter it twice, but not a bad idea I will check.  Thank you.

If it comes up differently at the PO web site, be sure to let TPTB know.

While using PBS postage, I did have one come up wrong, checked with the recipient (after the book was returned to me with "incorrect zip code" stamped on it) and when TPTB looked into it they discovered that it was a glitch at endica who generates the PBS postage and they refunded my money and corrected the glitch endica was having.

There's an area of New York State that Ft. Drum is in, and they apparently can use one of two different ZIP Codes (don't know why), but I had a book going to the area and the PO said the ZIP was different.  I told them to mail it with the ZIP I had anyway, which they did.  I then came home and e-mailed the requester that they could use ZIP Code XYZZZ or XYZZY.  It didn't matter, the book would still get to her.  I think there are several areas where there are more than one ZIP Code that can be used.  I wouldn't worry about it.  I'd just send it to the addy that PBS has, and then e-mail the requester.  Pat

My town is kind of like that. It's this tiny little town and I don't even know why we have our own zip code and post office.  If you use the zip code of  main town right next to us, it will still be delivered.
