Having watched the series "Life Below Zero" about rural lifestyles in Alaska, I could appreciate the hardships, mishaps, and adventures the author experienced spending 7-months alone with only brief visits from an occasional 'outsider'.

This is a quick read about an experience most of us can only imagine.

After this book, Mr. Fromm continued to write, and has been a four-time winner of the Pacific NW Bookseller's Literary Award.
