An interesting look into where the American Indian culture was in early 1900 to 1970's. This book covers different tribe's struggle against complete integration into white society and how they feared (rightly so) that their beliefs and views, would become lost in the modern society. Author cites many really terrific reference books that he draws his historical data & statistical facts from...can be dry, but sticks to the theme and author really does cover some really good points, even if many have been raised in other books.
